Things That Got Me Through Postpartum (Besides Therapy).
Products (& other stuff) that slap when you can’t sit down.
If you are anything like me, you’ve spent the entirety of your pregnancy buying cute tiny onesies, adorable shoes (babies don’t need shoes but how cute are they?!), and debating stroller brands.
HOWEVER, we are here today to talk about the stuff you actually NEED need. I’ve got you. Here are some of my favorite postpartum must-haves, recommended with love. Take what you need.
Postpartum Physical Recovery
Frida Mom Upside Down Peri Bottle
The hospital squirt bottle is fine. This one is actually designed for humans. The angled tip means you dont have to do gymnastics every time you use the bathroom fresh out of birth.
Frida Mom Perineal Ice Maxi Pads
If you have a vag delivery, this helps the vag. Ice packs that double as pads. Truly revolutionary.
If you deliver via c-section, getting up and down from bed can feel…almost impossible. This is truly so helpful.
C-section or Vag delivery, this helps you feel like all of your organs are still in your body.
Feeding
This cart is a life-saver when it comes to storing the essential supplies needed for feeding. Whether it’s a place for your pump and all of its parts, putting your Stanley in arm’s reach, or your breastfeeding supplies; it all can roll around with you wherever you need it to go.
If you’re breastfeeding, this cup collects letdown from the opposite side while you nurse. Genuinely useful.
Whether you’re nursing or bottle feeding, holding a baby for hours is a workout you probably didn’t train for. This takes the strain off and gives you at least one free hand back to drink water, stroke your cute baby’s tiny face, or doom-scroll. The choices are endless, honestly.
I don’t know why it works, but it works. Trust me on this one. Your nipples will thank me.
Fed is best, friends. If breastfeeding isn’t working for you, or it just isn’t your jam, or for whatever reason - check these out. I’ve used them, I’ve loved them.
A nightmare of mine is being stuck to a corded pump. I have sh** to do! This portable pump is a life saver when it comes to not feeling trapped to a milking machine.
This was an essential for so many months of bottle feeding (especially with the amount of bottles you have with twins).
There’s some controversy in this choice. The dispenser has mixed reviews, BUT I loved it. It was a life saver with twins. I never had an issue. In fact, it saved us SO much time and energy.
Twin-Specific Reccs
Honestly, I’ve used this product a million ways and it is THE most useful twin product I’ve tried. Most other twin-specific items don’t really matter. However, this is useful for story time, tandem feedings, sitting up, tummy time, all of it.
Everyday Essentials
My kids were OBSESSED with this thing. Worth every penny. I should know, I had to buy two.
We love a sound machine around here. This is the one I used, tried and true. Still use to this day.
Okay, I loved this play gym. It has so many age-appropriate add-ins for endless fun for the baby.
When I tell you I did not want to get this product because it was so colorful, like I boycotted for a while. BUT my kids were obsessed. Be prepared to sing these songs in the shower while you’re trying to practice self-care but cannot. stop. singing.
I tried (what felt like) a million different sleep swaddles. This one was a game changer.

Recommendations for doulas, lactation consultants, newborn care specialists, mommy and me classes, etc are all VERY important (probably more important than the type of nursing pillow you’re going to use, TBH). If you find yourself needing/wanting this type of specialized care, please feel free to reach out to me so I can get you in touch with someone appropriate for your specific need.
